Common questions when hiring a personal chef

  • You can hire a personal chef for personal use to use everyday or to cook for special dinners. They can also prepare food for events such as birthday parties, weddings, corporate events, etc.

  • Your personal chef will plan the menu, purchase all food, prepare the food, serve the food and clean up everything when done.

  • You want to make sure your chef is able to prepare the type of food you are desiring. Meeting with them before your event via phone call or in person will also ensure everything is communicated clearly.

  • A private chef is someone who is an employed by one person, family, or company. They typically don't have more than one client at a time. A personal chef is someone who has many clients and prepares food for events, parties, and intimate dinners.


Booking your event


1. Fill out the initial form with as much information as you have. Click here or email us at funguykitchen@gmail.com

2. Once receive your form or email we will message you a link to our calendar to schedule a call to discuss the details of the event.

3. After your call Chef Carlos will send you a sample menu for your event.

4. Once menu has been approved we will send you a contract and an invoice to pay your deposit and officially book your event.

The Chef

Carlos Fuentes, originally from Chile, brings a blend of passion, skill, and creativity to your table. Cultivating his skills as a young man in his Grandmother Berta’s kitchen and later receiving his culinary degree with an emphasis in French cuisine.

He serves Saint Augustine, Florida, St. Johns, Palm Coast, and Jacksonville as a personal chef.
